Emilie is a writer of fiction and creative nonfiction based in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.

Her work has appeared in The New York Times, HuffPost, JMWW, and other news outlets and literary journals. She has a B.A. in journalism and strategic communications from the University of Wisconsin.

She writes about memory, chronic illness/disability, power, and the ways institutions shape individual lives.

Current lit interests: Female rage. Relationships grounded in respect for autonomy. Interrogating systems that harm marginalized people in the name of public good. Scrappy FMCs (borderline feral). Enemies to lovers (always). Boarding school (sue me).
